Joramco Academy kicks off academic year at new facility

Joramco Academy, the education arm of Joramco, the Amman-based MRO facility, has officially begun its new academic year, marking a significant milestone as students attend classes at the academy’s newly inaugurated premises for the first time.

This semester welcomes 50 of the most promising students embarking on a career in aircraft maintenance engineering, alongside returning students who bring valuable expertise to the classroom, creating a dynamic and enriched learning environment.

To support its students, Joramco Academy has introduced several initiatives, including discounts for early registrants and 25 full scholarships funded by the Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission (TVSDC). These programmes aim to attract young talent from across Jordan, encouraging them to join the rapidly expanding field of aircraft maintenance engineering.

The academy’s efforts align with its mission to nurture local talent and contribute to reducing unemployment rates in the Kingdom, reinforcing its role as a leader in technical education and workforce development.

Fraser Currie, Joramco’s chief executive, said: “We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to our new and returning students for this academic year at Joramco Academy. It marks a new beginning at our state-of-the-art academy, which is an important step in our expansion plans and vision, as we continue to drive excellence in the aviation industry.”

Hana Ibsais, Joramco‘s chief people and performance officer, said: “The start of every academic year is something we are always proud of. For newcomers, it is the beginning of four years of exceptional education, while returning students will benefit from a familiar environment that fosters talent and cultivates growth. Our programme provides a golden career opportunity upon graduation, and we eagerly anticipate the students’ success in the future.”
