SriLankan Engineering achieves CAAT AMO approval, expanding services to Thai carriers

SriLankan Engineering has achieved a significant milestone by securing the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) AMO Approval and Foreign Repair Station Certification.

This accreditation enables SriLankan Engineering’s MRO division to offer world-class maintenance, repair, and overhaul services to Thai carriers and global lessors for Airbus A319/A320/A321/A350 and Boeing B777/B787 aircraft registered in Thailand.

These services will be delivered at SriLankan Engineering’s state-of-the-art facilities in Sri Lanka.

The comprehensive suite of services includes base maintenance and heavy checks, component repair and overhaul services, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services, and line maintenance.

In a LinkedIn announcement, SriLankan Engineering expressed their enthusiasm about collaborating with a broad network of industry leaders, including Thai Airways International, Thai VietJet Air, Bangkok Airways, AirAsia, Thai AirAsia X, Thai SmartLynx, AerCap, Avolon, SMBC Aviation Capital, and Air Lease.

The company emphasised its commitment to forging strong partnerships, enhancing operational performance, minimising AOG (Aircraft on Ground) time, and maximising cost efficiency for all partners involved.
