Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen and Philippine Airlines have signed an Airframe Related Components® services contract for Airbus A321ceo nacelles.
Scheduled to begin with servicing by the end of 2024, this is a new collaboration between Lufthansa Technik’s subsidiary in China and the Manila-based airline.
The agreement includes MRO and spare unit support for the V2500 engine’s inlet cowling.
Philippine Airlines and Lufthansa Technik have been collaborating in various MRO areas for over two decades. Earlier in 2024, the airline renewed its partnership with Lufthansa Technik in Engine Maintenance Services, complementing the existing agreements for Total Component Support (TCS) for its Boeing 777 fleet, along with Base Maintenance Services provided by Lufthansa Technik Philippines. Additionally, Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen, specialising in advanced repairs of composite and bonded materials used in aircraft structures, and Philippine Airlines are already collaborating on component repairs.
Alvin Kendrich O. Limqueco, Philippine Airlines’ senior vice president and chief supply chain officer, said: “We are delighted to announce our new collaboration with Lufthansa Technik on Airframe Related Components. This partnership will not only benefit Philippine Airlines by ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet, but also strengthens the relationship between the two companies.”
Jens Michel, vice president of sales North East Asia at Lufthansa Technik, said: “We are always committed to providing outstanding services and excited to further strengthen our successful partnership with Philippine Airlines through this collaboration.”
