Ireland-based ACMI leasing and charter provider FLY4 Airlines has successfully completed the first major MRO event for its Boeing 737NG fleet, with two aircraft emerging from extensive checks at Turkish Technic’s facility.
The maintenance programme, which goes beyond routine inspections, included a detailed structural integrity review to identify potential airframe issues such as corrosion.
The aircraft also underwent modifications to enhance operational performance and passenger comfort.
The project was a collaborative effort involving multiple stakeholders, including engineering support from TUI and input from Boeing and CFM, alongside Turkish Technic’s expertise.
With the maintenance schedule progressing on track, FLY4 Airlines expects to complete similar checks on the remaining two aircraft by the end of February 2025. Each jet will spend approximately 25 days in the hangar as part of the programme.
FLY4 Airlines emphasises that this investment in fleet upkeep reflects its long-term strategy to ensure reliability and quality, reinforcing its position as a premium capacity provider in the competitive aviation sector.
Ian Smith, director of engineering and maintenance at FLY4 Airlines, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Turkish Technic on our base maintenance operations. We are working closely with them to deliver a high-quality product back to the FLY4 Airlines operation, helping us to achieve high operational reliability and strong customer satisfaction for our customers.”
