Comlux opens new Dubai service and maintenance centre

Business aviation completion specialist Comlux has officially opened its new state-of-the-art service and maintenance centre at Dubai Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).

The facility, which also serves as Comlux’s regional headquarters, offers light maintenance, hangarage, AOG services, cabin detailing, and aircraft cleaning.

Key features include a 5,000 sqm air-conditioned hangar, 2,500 sqm of multi-level office and workshop space, and 15,000 sqm of apron space. The hangar can accommodate two ACJ and BBJ aircraft or several smaller jets, with cutting-edge systems ensuring operational efficiency.

The facility also includes VIP areas, a design showroom with a full-scale ACJ TwoTwenty mock-up, and EASA-approved Part 145 maintenance capabilities. Notably, Comlux has already conducted a maintenance check on the world’s first ACJ TwoTwenty at the site.

This strategic move strengthens Comlux’s regional support for clients in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. The Dubai centre also complements the US-based Comlux Completion, known for its exclusive partnership with Airbus for ACJ TwoTwenty cabin completions and Boeing BBJ repairs. Together, these divisions aim to provide seamless services for operators worldwide.

Richard Gaona, executive chairman and chief executive of Comlux, said: “I am extremely happy and proud of the Comlux team for this new step in our development. We will be close to our Middle Eastern clients, and our mission is to serve them to our best abilities.”

It has been several years since Comlux established a partnership with Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH), the aerospace platform of Dubai, and the cooperation continues to flourish as Comlux strengthens its position in the region.

Tahnoon Saif, chief executive of Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub, said: “The opening of Comlux’s state-of-the-art facility is an added-value to the services we provide at MBRAH and reflects our commitment to attracting leading global companies and drive innovation in the aviation industry.

“At MBRAH, our mandate is to position Dubai as a global aviation hub, in line with the vision of our wise leadership. We are dedicated to supporting companies in establishing their presence and benefit from our integrated ecosystem.”
