BSA appoints Adams as Advisor to the Board

The British School of Aviation (BSA), a Part 147 training organisation headquartered at London Luton Airport, has appointed Mick Adams as advisor to the board.

Known for his values-based approach to aircraft maintenance, Adams is a Fellow of The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) and technical director of the International Federation of Airworthiness (IFA).

Adams has played a vital role in aviation for over 40 years, recently leading STS Aviation Services Europe to become the UK’s largest independent MRO with civil and military accreditations, creating hundreds of aviation jobs.

Adams has received multiple industry awards, including Number One FBO in Europe, Number One MRO in Europe, Aviation Top 100 Leaders, and the IFA Turnbuckle Award. In 2023, he was honoured with Aviation Week’s Lifetime Achievement Award in Dallas, USA. Additionally, he designed the facilities and served as the Part 147 accountable manager for what is now home to BSA.

Adams said: “This partnership is one born of shared values for the provision of aviation training in only one way, the right way. I am delighted to be given the opportunity to assist Anoop and Shonu in establishing BSA as the preeminent aerospace training company, something evidenced by the highly regarded airlines and MROs for whom BSA are the first port of call.”

Shonu Bamrah, BSA’s Part 147 accountable manager and executive director, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mick at such an exciting time for BSA. With a customer base comprising some of the biggest and best in the aviation industry, Mick’s expertise will be instrumental in driving our growth and maintaining the highest training standards.”

Anoop Singh Bamrah, the BSA’s executive director, said: “BSA is committed to growth, innovation, and excellence. Mick’s appointment as board advisor solidifies our dedication to building trust and confidence with our partners. His proven leadership and industry knowledge will help us advance our vision of setting a new benchmark in aerospace training.”
