BP Aero secures ‘milestone’ UK CAA and CAAC certifications

Dallas-based aircraft engine MRO services provider BP Aero has successfully obtained the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), a renewal of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) certifications, and an over 7,000 increase of CAAC approved part numbers.

These certifications significantly expand BP Aero’s capabilities, as part of the ITP Aero Group, to provide MRO services to operators and overhaul facilities in the UK and China.

With the new certifications, BP Aero can now further support its international clients with expertise across various engine platforms such as LEAP, CFM56–3/5A/5B/5C/7B, CF6–80C2, CF34–3/8C/8E/10E, GE90-100, and V2500–A5/D5 engines.

The CAA and CAAC certifications recognise BP Aero’s commitment to maintaining the highest levels of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. The achievements reinforce BP Aero’s standing as a trusted and reliable provider of aircraft engine services.

Mike Walsh, president of BP Aero, said: “We are excited to have secured both the UK CAA and the CAAC certifications, marking significant milestones in our global expansion. These approvals will enable us to better serve our customers in the UK, China, and other key markets, with the same high standards of excellence and reliability that BP Aero is known for.”

BP Aero says the new capabilities are part of its ongoing commitment to providing a comprehensive range of engine component overhaul services for a wide variety of aircraft platforms.
