South Korean cargo airline Air Incheon has officially become a full member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
This significant milestone allows the airline to enhance collaboration with international carriers while strengthening customer confidence through the adoption of IATA’s globally recognised operational and safety standards.
With this membership, Air Incheon expects to secure world-class operational safety and efficiency by adhering to IATA’s stringent safety management protocols. The airline also aims to boost operational effectiveness by implementing various financial and operational guidelines set forth by IATA.
In line with its growth strategy, Air Incheon has recently completed the acquisition of Asiana Airlines’ cargo division and is gearing up to launch a unified company in July 2025, marking a new chapter in its expansion.
Lee Seung-hwan, Air Incheon chief executive, said: “This IATA membership is an important milestone in Air Incheon’s growth and further solidifies our commitment to providing world-class air cargo solutions.
“Air Incheon’s safety operation capabilities will be further strengthened, contributing to the growth of global air logistics and the aviation industry.”
Founded in 1945, IATA is the world’s largest international airline cooperation organisation with approximately 330 member companies that account for more than 80% of global air traffic.
