Magnetic Line, line maintenance provider and sub-brand of the global aviation company Magnetic Group, has announced the appointment of Steven Williams as managing director.
The company says the appointment forms part of a broader leadership plan to ensure it remains customer-centric and innovation-driven in today’s competitive market.
With over 34 years in business management and six years in the Royal Air Force, working in various roles with European airlines and MROs, including Magnetic Line, Steven Williams brings a wealth of operational expertise and a people-focused approach to his new position.
Together with the team, the focus remains set on being the go-to provider for current and prospective customers while unifying all 15 stations based in Europe and Africa.
Williams said: “I have ambitious plans for my new role, and I have been gradually preparing for it. It will allow me to be present with the team and take part in daily operations, all so we can improve the process from the inside out and keep up with the latest market demands.”
It was also announced that Erik Stegeman, another experienced aviation professional, will step into the role of director of operations.
Jan Kotka, chief operating officer of Magnetic Group, said: “This transition resulted in Steven and Erik forming a high-performing front at Magnetic Line. Since 2023, their efforts have effectively guided and scaled the line maintenance business, which is also a crucial component of the global Magnetic Group strategy.”
In 2019, Magnetic Group acquired Magnetic Line (also known as former Direct Maintenance).
