TAAG and Avianca enhance cargo services with new agreement

TAAG Angola Airlines and Avianca Airlines have entered into a strategic partnership within the air cargo transport sector through a Special Prorate Agreement (SPA).

The collaboration will significantly expand both airlines’ service offerings by opening new markets, fostering business growth, and enhancing their shared cargo destination networks.

The partnership will also provide customers with preferential rates and conditions.

With this agreement, TAAG Angola Airlines will extend its reach into key South American markets, offering customers and the industrial sectors in Europe and Africa access to new routes beyond São Paulo, Brazil. These include destinations such as Bogotá (Colombia), Santiago (Chile), Lima (Peru), Montevideo (Uruguay), and Quito (Ecuador).

The partnership was formalised in São Paulo, Brazil, with the signing by senior representatives of both airlines, including TAAG’s CEO, Nelson Rodrigues de Oliveira, and Eduardo Arenas, Transformation and Alliances Manager at Avianca Cargo.

This landmark agreement represents a significant step in connecting transcontinental air cargo networks between Africa and the Americas, strengthening logistics chains, and facilitating international trade.
