Saudia Cargo announces new CEO

Eng. Loay Mashabi has been announced to replace Teddy Zebitz as the new chief executive officer and managing director of Saudia Cargo, effective January 1, 2025.

In his new role, Eng. Mashabi will focus on accelerating Saudia Cargo’s growth and expanding its international network.

Eng. Mashabi joined Saudia Cargo as a board member in August 2021 and in October 2023 became managing director.

As part of his new role, Eng. Mashabi will also focus on advancing Saudi Vision 2030’s logistics sector goals, enabling the Kingdom’s transformation by securing essential goods and providing customer-centric solutions that help businesses thrive and industries grow.

Prior to joining Saudia Cargo, Eng. Mashabi served as deputy minister for logistics services at the Ministry of Transportation and Logistics Services, and deputy governor for planning and development of the General Authority of Customs. He also served as chief executive of the inception phase of an Al Soudah destination at Public Investment Fund (PIF).

Zebitz will continue to serve as a member of the cargo carrier’s board of directors.
