SAS Airlines has signed a deal to work with Touch Inflight Solutions on its Inflight Entertainment (IFE) as it completes its switch to the SkyTeam alliance.
Touch said its “next-generation” IFE solutions will support SAS’s transformation, focusing on delivering a “seamless, modern passenger experience” while expanding its global reach.
“Touch will work closely with the airline to implement an IFE content strategy that brings SAS’s vision to life onboard,” the media content and technology provider said.
André Valera, vice president of business development at Touch parent Conetic, said: “We are thrilled to partner with SAS, collaborating to create a data-driven foundation that will redefine inflight engagement for their Scandinavian and global customers.
“By combining our expertise in content innovation and data analytics with SAS’s commitment to delivering exceptional passenger experiences, we are laying the groundwork for the future of inflight entertainment that is as dynamic and inspiring as their travellers.”
Scandinavia’s leading airline, SAS, connects the region through its hubs in Copenhagen, Oslo, and Stockholm, serving over 25 million passengers annually with regular flights to the US and Asia.
SAS and Touch say they will create a “modern, seamless passenger experience that stays true to its legacy of innovation and forward-thinking progress”.
Caroline Bergström, SAS head of ancillary products, connectivity and retail, said: “We are very excited to start our collaboration with Touch, that will help us take the Inflight Entertainment experience to the next level for the passengers of SAS.
“With the recognised experience and creativity that Touch brings to the table, we are confident that we will achieve great things together and we are looking forward to many years of good partnership.”
Through the SAS partnership Touch will also seek to build on the strong ties with other SkyTeam alliance members, including Delta Air Lines and Aeromexico.
The firm said: “This collaboration allows Touch to streamline content management and delivery, leveraging shared technological insights across the alliance.
“The result is a cohesive, high-quality IFE experience that supports SAS’s aim to provide smooth and valuable travel to its customers.”
