General Sales & Service Agent (GSSA), the ECS Group, has signed a historic Total Cargo Management (TCM) contract with South American low-cost carrier, JetSMART Airlines.
This four-year agreement, which started on January 1, 2025, is ECS Group’s first TCM contract in South America with a regional airline.
JetSMART Airlines operates a fleet of A320 and A321 aircraft under four national AOCs (Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Argentina), covering domestic and international routes connecting South America to Brazil, the US, Europe, and Asia.
Under the deal, ECS Group will oversee cargo operations for nearly 25,000 flights annually, creating dedicated commercial and operational teams in each country, coordinated by a control tower in San José, Costa Rica.
The partnership allows JetSMART Airlines to benefit from ECS Group’s Total Cargo Expertise (TCE) and digital tools from CargoTech, such as eBooking, capacity management, and revenue optimisation, ensuring efficient and high-quality cargo services.
This collaboration will enhance South America’s cargo connectivity globally, focusing on key commodities like salmon, perishables, minerals, and mail services. It also marks ECS Group’s first TCM partnership outside Europe with a regional airline, reinforcing its global leadership in cargo management.
