The WACO System (WACO), a global network of independent freight forwarders, has teamed up with digital air freight platform cargo.one to launch a pioneering initiative.
WACO members now have access to cutting-edge digital infrastructure, streamlining key processes such as capacity discovery, quoting, and booking—including seamless member-to-member transactions.
Through the new cargo.one WACO Module, members can book live air capacity rates and access each other’s local charges and trucking services to create door-to-door quotes in real-time. The platform reduces reliance on emails and manual workflows, saving significant time while enabling 24/7 digital service sales.
This collaboration enhances WACO’s mission to support its 118-country network by enabling members to connect and transact globally, boosting efficiency and ensuring access to competitive rates across the WACO network.
Richard Charles, chief executive of The WACO System, said: “We are always looking for ways to strengthen our global network, and digital solutions play a vital role in this. By partnering with cargo.one, we are equipping WACO members with the tools to enhance and streamline their operations digitally. And with better digital connectivity, our network will be more robust, productive, and rewarding than ever before.”
Moritz Claussen, founder and co-chief executive of cargo.one, said: “Our exciting collaboration with WACO brings together the powerful benefits of its network with the powerful impacts of digital collaboration.
“Leveraging seamless and efficient digital workflows with cargo.one, forwarders can work quicker, compete better and reinvest significant time savings into developing their WACO relationships.”
