Stratos completes the sale of four aircraft

Aircraft investment specialist Stratos has announced it has completed the sale of four aircraft including two A320s to Avion Express, a 737-300F to a Middle Eastern buyer, and a leased 777-300ER to investors managed by Altavair.

This series of trades brings the total number of aircraft sold or leased by Stratos over the past 12 months to 17, capitalising on a favourable market environment to deliver strong returns for its investors across the managed fleet.

The 777-300ER is on long-term lease to Air France and the A320s were acquired by the airline at the expiry of the respective leases. The 737F was sold on behalf of Texel Air (Bahrain).

Fraser Chestney, senior vice president of corporate finance at Stratos, said: “We are delighted to be executing so many highly profitable trades for our different investors and continue to actively raise further capital and acquire additional aircraft as we work through this strong cyclic recovery in investment returns for this asset class.

“Our team has done exceptional work on the technical, airline coverage and debt-raising sides in the past year to overcome many complex challenges associated with transitioning newish and mid-life aircraft.”
