Storm Aviation receives EASA approval for A330 base maintenance in Scotland

Storm Aviation, part of FL Technics, has received EASA Part 145 approval for base maintenance on Airbus A330 aircraft at its Glasgow-Prestwick facility.

The company says the milestone marks a new chapter in its continued expansion as it seeks to broaden its service offerings to cater to a wider range of airline and operator needs.

Dean Richardson director of base maintenance at Storm Aviation, said: “This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to continued capability enhancement, excellence, and safety in aircraft maintenance. With this new approval, we are now fully equipped to handle base maintenance for European registered A330 aircraft, expanding our capabilities and ensuring we can provide an excellent service to a broader range of customers and operators.”

The Glasgow-Prestwick site will now support a new level of operational capability, positioning it as a key hub for widebody maintenance within Storm Aviation’s growing network.
