MRO Europe: Joramco announces new partnership with BBN Airlines

Amman-based aircraft MRO facility and engineering arm of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), Joramco, has signed a new agreement with BBN Airlines, a leading provider of ACMI and charter services.

Set to commence in February 2025, this is a new relationship between the two companies. Joramco will perform heavy checks on BBN Airlines’ A320s.

Fraser Currie, chief executive of Joramco, said: “We are pleased to embark on a new journey with BBN Airlines. This agreement demonstrates Joramco’s position in the MRO market, cementing its status as a leading provider of MRO services. We are excited to explore new opportunities for collaboration in the future.”

BBN Airlines received its Air Operator Certificate from the Turkish DGCA in March 2023 and began operations with a fleet of four A321 aircraft. Based at Antalya (AYT), Istanbul (IST), and Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW), BBN Airlines provides ACMI and charter services, focusing on reliability and customer care.

Its fleet expansion began in July 2023, when it added the first A321 P2F in Turkey. A month later, in August 2023, it welcomed an A320 to further grow operations. By December 2023, a second A321 P2F was added to the fleet.

In the second quarter of 2024, BBN Airlines continued to grow with the addition of another A320 and an A321. Finally, in the third quarter of 2024, it reached a key milestone by adding its 10th aircraft, fulfilling its fleet vision for the year.

The announcement was made during Aviation Week’s MRO Europe 2024 event in Barcelona.
