Antavia/AMETEK MRO extends DHC waterbomber landing gear MRO support

Antavia/AMETEK MRO has renewed its global MRO agreement with De Havilland Canada (DHC), continuing its role as the landing gear system MRO provider for the CL-215, CL-215T and CL-415 aircraft.

This contract extension builds on more than two decades of collaboration, which began in 2003 with Bombardier’s Amphibious Aircraft Division and continued in 2017 under Viking Aircraft, following the establishment of a factory-endorsed component centre agreement.

Over the past 20 years, Antavia’s expert team has supported the MRO needs of more than 2,500 landing gear components for waterbombers operating across four continents, nine countries and seven Canadian provinces.

To further enhance support for this specialised fleet, Antavia has invested over €10 million in spare parts and is continuously expanding its component stock. This investment is aimed at significantly improving turnaround times for critical landing gear repairs.

Laurent Bouissou, divisional vice president and general manager of Antavia, said: “Antavia’s commitment to this specialist aircraft type goes beyond a simple technical and financial interest.

“When providing maintenance services for the DHC waterbombers, the Antavia team is fully supporting the aerial firefighting community worldwide.

“We work closely with De Havilland Aircraft of Canada to constantly improve our service and ensure that the fleet is available to perform its vital role: saving lives and communities from the constantly increasing risk of wildfires.”
