Members from both Clan Loganair and the British Airways Executive Club will now be able to combine their Avios balances and redeem Avios on their respective networks.

Luke Lovegrove, Chief Commercial Officer at Loganair, said: “We strive to offer our customers added value at every stage of their journey and partnering with IAG Loyalty to adopt Avios as the currency of our Clan programme is a significant development that will open up a world of new benefits for our customers.

“We’re excited to bring these changes to life in 2025 and look forward to welcoming both Clan and Avios members onboard.”

With Loganair joining the Avios network, customers will enjoy seamless earning and redemption opportunities across a growing portfolio of global airlines and destinations.

Avios was originally known as Air Miles (UK) and had been created by British Caledonian Airways in 1988. British Airways bought the controlling share in the 1990s, and eventually rolled it in with its own loyalty scheme, rebranding the entire operation as Avios in 2011. Today, the scheme is operated by BA’s parent parent company, International Airlines Group (IAG).
